September 6th

Today we worked on solving puzzles and getting our brains working.  We learned how to do two different Japanese logic puzzles:

• Futoshiki
• Kakaruso

We used the iPad's to go to the logic puzzles section of brainbashers to try more puzzles.  If you'd like to try more, here is the link  https://www.brainbashers.com/logicpuzzles.asp

Homework:  You need to bring in a puzzles, math quote, math joke etc to put on your square in our Math Quilt. :)

I don't know why I'm writing here, because you've all told me you don't use the Blog, but just in case there is a random Math 10 student looking for some info (or more likely, a parent looking to see if you're telling the truth ;), here's the plan:

Friday, June 9 - Review functions
Monday, June 12 - Review Systems of equations
Tuesday, June 13 - Review Factoring
Wednesday, June 14 - Review Exponents
Thursday, June 15 - Review Radicals
Friday, June 16 - Review Trig and any other areas we need to focus on
Monday, June 19 - Short "mock", "practice", final
Thursday, June 22 - Go over "mock", "practice" final and final prep
Friday, June 23 - Woo Hoo - The Final :)

The packages for review will be shared on your Office 365 account in the Shared With You section.

HOMEWORK:  Was supposed to be a double sided review, but back page didn't photocopy, so lucky you - it's only the one page.  We'll do more review Monday and test will be Tuesday.

April 19th

Reviewed all types of factoring and played polynomial bingo (with simple trinomials and difference of squares).

Homework:  1-12 on "How Can a Fisherman Save Gas?"

Friday - Prepare for Bingo with all trinomials (with numbers out front too), GCF's, Difference of Squares and Perfect Trinomial Squares.
